God told His people to always remember how He saved them out of Egypt, split the sea in two, gave them His law at Sinai, and brought them to the Promised Land. It's holy to remember what God has done in your life. But it's also holy to not remember when it comes to what man has done, or has not done, in your life. Isaiah 43 says, "I will remember your sins no more." You're saved because God chooses not to remember. So practice the holy act of not remembering. It's not just that you forget, but rather, you have to choose to remember no more. It isn't passive. It's an act of the will in God's grace. You consciously choose to no longer bring it to mind. To remember no more means that there is some offense or sin there that can be remembered. But if God chooses to specifically remember your sins no more, what kind of person are you to be? You need to do what God did. You need to choose to remember no more, and you will be blessed with the grace of God.
From Message #461 - Be Ye Imperfect I
As an act of your will today, choose to forgive and forget.
