The Bikoreem of Your Year

In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word for Firstfruits is Bikoreem. Israel was commanded to give the firstfruits of their increase- the womb, their flocks, their harvests- to God. The first part of everything was to be given to the Lord. The bikoreem determined everything else that was to come. So the Bible says Messiah is the firstfruits of new life. By His rising, we live. The firstfruits determines the rest. So now you have a new year before you; what kind of year do you want or need it to be? Dedicate it to be just that. Give the first part of this New Year directly to God, spending it for the purpose that you want the year to be dedicated to. Take new steps in repentance, spreading the Gospel, breaking free, serving the Lord, living holy, winning the victory, and drawing closer to God in worship and in the Spirit. Do you want a good and victorious year? Then start it now. Lift up your Bikoreem and the year will be blessed.
