YEAR OF THE DRAGON

Shalom, to you my Friend and Co-Minister in the Great Commission...
   I was driving my sons to school and praying about what the next book was to be. It was then that I saw the image of a dragon, a red dragon, as from Revelation 12. The book was to become The Dragon's Prophecy. I would work on it at the start of 2024 and it would be released (it just was) this September.
   When I started writing it, I had no idea that the year that was just beginning would be the Year of the Dragon. On top of that, it turned out that there is a comet that flies by earth once every 71 years. It was coming by earth in 2024. It has been called The Devil's Comet and The Mother of Dragons. During this same year, a strange thing happened in New York City - dragons started appearing all over - on the New York Stock Exchange, on Rockefeller Center, and on top of the Empire State Building. In the same year, at the Democratic Convention in Chicago, the former speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, was brought onto stage after being hailed as being the Mother of Dragons.

   It has indeed been the year of the dragon. It has seen among other things:
   The largest part of a war in the Middle East, Israel and Hamas.
   The continued war of Russia and Ukraine
   The raining down of missiles on Israel by the terrorist group Hezbollah.
   The first ever direct attack on Israel by Iran.
   Military alliances forming or strengthening along the lines of Ezekiel 38 and 39.
   The Pope's decree that gay and lesbian couples could receive the blessing of the Catholic Church.
   The greatest, most widespread explosion of anti-Israel, anti-Jewish hatred in human history.
   The exposure of President Biden's cognitive deterioration.
   The near assassination of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.
   The sudden rise of the most radically leftist major presidential and vice presidential ticket in American history
   The most blasphemous and anti-Christian global display (as part of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics) in history
   Etc. etc. etc. ...

   It has truly been the year of the dragon. It seems that believers are all the more on the defensive and that the forces against them are raging. The Bible said it would come. It was, I believe, the reason I saw the image of the dragon while driving and was led to write The Dragon's Prophecy at this moment. We are all in a war: Israel, those who love Messiah, and all who bear the image of God. In the last days, the dragon will rage even more so. Let us not fear or be troubled, we are on the winning side. Fight your good fight in the power of God and overcome the dragon! And stay vigilant and strong. The year ahead is reputedly The Year of the Serpent! And May God greatly bless you this month!
